After being resurrected by a sinister entity, Art the Clown returns to a quiet town in Miles County, where he attacks a teenage girl and her younger brother on Halloween night. The walls filmed in the “Horror” haunted house were filmed in a real haunted house called “Fear Factory” in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Undoubtedly, the most brutal slasher I’ve seen in a while. I would have rated it even higher if it had been mounted clearly. The attempt to create a backstory towards the end turns out to be completely ridiculous. Before that, I had not seen a two-hour slasher-thriller. However, the killing is so extreme that the hair stands on end. Many viewers are reported to have vomited during the show, and it’s easy to understand why. The amount of spilled blood and massive lacerations is at the very top of the gore spectrum. With a budget of less than a million and a collection of almost 3 million, this seems to be a winning formula for the studio. Makes for unpleasant but truly memorable viewing due to the inventiveness of the brutality.
